Created attachment 79384 [details] pida-0.3.1.ebuild new ebuild
I got an error when emerging it: >>> Test phase [not enabled]: dev-util/pida-0.3.1 >>> Install pida-0.3.1 into /var/tmp/portage/pida-0.3.1/image/ category dev-util running install Checking .pth file support in /var/tmp/portage/pida-0.3.1/image/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/ error: can't create or remove files in install directory The following error occurred while trying to add or remove files in the installation directory: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/var/tmp/portage/pida-0.3.1/image/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/test-easy-install-8649.pth' The installation directory you specified (via --install-dir, --prefix, or the distutils default setting) was: /var/tmp/portage/pida-0.3.1/image/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/ This directory does not currently exist. Please create it and try again, or choose a different installation directory (using the -d or --install-dir option).
I get pretty much the same error, except the file has a different number at the end: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/var/tmp/portage/pida-0.3.1/image/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/test-easy-install-10432.pth' There is a call stack too after the error message. Here it is, in case it makes a difference: !!! ERROR: dev-util/pida-0.3.1 failed. Call stack: ebuild.sh, line 1928: Called dyn_install ebuild.sh, line 1062: Called src_install ebuild.sh, line 1643: Called distutils_src_install

pida-0.4.1 is now in portage. Have fun! (You might hit some bugs, I've reported them upstream: https://launchpad.net/products/pida/+bug/76038 https://launchpad.net/products/pida/+bug/76036 https://launchpad.net/products/pida/+bug/76034)
