Description Mark 2006-02-05 10:01:22 UTC
Hi there,

I know every one is busy and working hard. I would just like to add a request for the migartion toolkit from mysql.com to be added as an ebuild if time permits.

thanks

Uhm? Some link and description, at least?

No progress here for 1 year; closing WONTFIX. Feel free to reopen with an
ebuild.

The migration toolkit is Windows-only for the time being.

From http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/gui-tools/5.0.html:

"Please note that the Migration Toolkit is only included in the Windows versions of the GUI tools at this point in time. It will be added to the other packages in one of the next releases."

Now that the migration toolkit is included in the linux packages, could it be installed with the rest of the gui-tools in the gui-tools ebuild?
The mysql gui tools page lists three tools:
 * MySQL Administrator 1.2 Generally Available (GA)
 * MySQL Query Browser 1.2 Generally Available (GA)
 * MySQL Migration Toolkit 1.1 Generally Available (GA)

The first two are enabled via local use flags, could the same be done for the third (the Migration Toolkit)?
Perhaps someone could re-open this bug.
