I'm getting this error:

grep: /usr/lib/libungif.la: No such file or directory

This looks like a duplicate of this bug:

http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=83238

But I've read the 'solutions' there, and none of them work.  Except for the revdep thing, which fails in a most unintelligible way.  Until this bug is fixed, my Gentoo box is nonfunctional.

Latest revdep-rebuild works perfectly fine here, if it doesn't work for you for whatever weird reason, then re-emerge imlib instead of filing duplicate bugs.
