Description Boyd Stephen Smith Jr. 2006-01-11 14:02:40 UTC
When I attempt to attach to the World Community Grid project I get:	Master page download succeeded	01/11/06 03:16 pm	Sending scheduler request to	01/11/06 03:16 pm	Reason: Requested by user	01/11/06 03:16 pm	Requesting 34560 seconds of work, returning 0 results	01/11/06 03:16 pm
BOINC	Can't resolve hostname [https] host not found	01/11/06 03:16 pm	Scheduler request failed: can't resolve hostname	01/11/06 03:16 pm	Scheduler request to failed: can't resolve hostname	01/11/06 03:16 pm	Couldn't connect to URL
Please check URL.	01/11/06 03:16 pm	Resetting project	01/11/06 03:16 pm
BOINC	request_reschedule_cpus: exit_tasks	01/11/06 03:16 pm	Detaching from project	01/11/06 03:16 pm

All the other projects seem to attach fine, although they don't like my current architecture.

Evidently, this is a problem with the 4.72 version currently unmasked in portage. Others on the gentoo-user list report that this problem is gone in more recent versions compiled from scratch. Doesn't seem to be a gentoo bug, but rather something upstream (that's been fixed in more recent versions, anyway), so I'm going to go ahead and resolve my own bug.

I'll unmask the 5.2.14 version in portage and test it some. Please unmask it as soon as it is ready. (And make it ready soon. ;) )
