Description Ingo Krabbe 2006-01-07 05:27:15 UTC
About the last two weeks kmail started crashing when sending E-Mail. I cannot imagine what happens.

kmail Version is 1.8.3

Must be one of the latest updates.

Anyway I feel that gentoo gets more unstable against updates every day, since updates of libraries often break the system. What can we do against that ?

No real information here. Please, reopen with a backtrace of the crash [1] and emerge --info output.

I will check a backtrace now ...
Comment 3 Ingo Krabbe 2006-01-07 05:50:59 UTC
Ah sorry that I use this interface but my mail just broke down.

to send a backtrace I need the kde backtrace application, but main brain is unable to recall the name of that tool, which I never installed before ...
What is the name of that ebuild ?

Nah, well... Seems like you haven't followed out gcc-upgrading guide.
