After installing dbus-0.60-r3 some problems arose with most of the programs on my system that made use of dbus. (This has apparently been common) I have re-emerged the programs that I use and had had problems with since the dbus update (most of which now have a dbus-0.60 patch). I have re-emerged rhythmbox-0.9.2 several times (with and without the dbus use flag) and I still receive an error when trying to start rhythmbox... "rhythmbox: error while loading shared libraries: libdbus-1.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"
You need to run revdep-rebuild, as instructed to when upgrading dbus.
