missing zlib link. i have no idea why it happens, but i've seen it happen before.
you didn't even mention the version no of libgnomeprint.. anyway, can you give me the output of 'grep "\-lz" /usr/lib/pkgconfig/*' ?

do you have libxml2 around and if yes, what is the output of 'qpkg -l libxml2' ? (please provide as attachment)
