Description Nicolas 2006-01-04 03:32:48 UTC
Sometimes mozilla-thunderbird freezes when composing a new message (e.g. create a new message or reply to a message). If launched from a terminal, I find the following error message:
$ thunderbird
No running windows found

(thunderbird-bin:19278): Gdk-WARNING **: gdk_property_get(): length value has wrapped in calculation (did you pass G_MAXLONG?)

[THE FOLLOWING APPEARS ONCE I KILL THE APP]
*** glibc detected *** free(): invalid pointer: 0xbfe0b48c ***
/usr/libexec/mozilla-launcher: line 116: 19278 Killed                  "$mozbin" "$@"
thunderbird-bin exited with non-zero status (137)

I've tried with different versions of mozilla-thunderbird and mozilla-launcher (latest stable and latest unstable) but I always eventually have this problem. Note that it seems too happen erratically, ie I can compose N new messages and suddenly the (N+1)th message will cause the application to freeze.

Reopen with some debugging info if you still have problems with current versions.

Thanks.

In my case its just a signature which turned to a 4 Mb + size from the original 2kb. I was stocked in this for 2 days. What a slow analysis I have. :(
