Description Markus Rothe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-01-03 11:38:38 UTC
Hi,

I just ran into the problem that gnome-libs-1.4.2 fail if I compile using MAKEOPTS="-j9". Here is the relevant output:

gcc -o gnome-pty-helper gnome-pty-helper.o gnome-login-support.o gnome-utmp.o -lutil
gcc: gnome-login-support.o: No such file or directory
make[2]: *** [gnome-pty-helper] Error 1
make[2]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....

Could someone please look at this. -j1 works just fine.

Regards,

Markus

same for me on amd64 with MAKEOPTS="-j9". "-j1" do the job.
