echo ě
Comment 1 Jiri 2005-12-28 15:01:03 UTC
Code:

echo ěčřýáíéúůóňďťĚČŘÝÁÍÉÚŮÓŇĎŤ | osd_cat -d 15 -p bottom -A center -f "-urw-nimbus roman no9 l-bold-r-normal--32-0-0-0-p-0-utf" -l 1 -o 170

makes what you can see at attachment. Everywhere where "ě" should be displayed, osd_cat displays "('". No problem with a capital "Ě" or any other character. The problem occured after I switched the system from ISO 8859-2 to UTF-8. I tried several different fonts.
Comment 2 Jiri 2005-12-28 15:04:13 UTC
Bugzilla cannot display the characters well (e-caron is a letter "e" with a hook above it).

is this bug still valid? Did you try contacting upstream?

I don't use Gentto for about a year anymore. I cannot provide more info right now. But this cannot be difficult to test by anybody else.
