On several occasions I've been wishing there were a mozilla-bin package, for a number of reasons. For one, some users may not wish to wait for a few hours to compile mozilla, or they may be short on the hard disk space, or there may be an unresolved issue with the regular mozilla ebuild (such as bug 11695 is for me). In short, an ebuild that would package the official binary distribution of Mozilla is rather trivial to put together. I'll attach a working starting point in a minute.

Old bug, newer versions of Mozilla have been released
Right, but there is still no mozilla-bin ebuild. IMO we need one.
Yes. Although there has been a view that only source ebuilds should exist, packages like openoffice and mozilla amongst others warrant a -bin ebuild in my opinion. As much fun compiling is sometimes time is very short and prebuilt binary packages are not to hand. I support the inclusion of this particular -bin package.
With regular releases of Gentoo happening these days, there is a GRP package available for mozilla. Rather than depend on external builds of packages within Gentoo, it's really better to use packages that have been built on the Gentoo platform. So I'm closing this bug on the basis that GRP builds are available.
