When installing net-im/sim-0.8 (Qt 3.1.0, KDE 3.0.4) flex-2.5.23 breaks its   
compilation (gcc-3.2.1). flex-2.5.4a-r5 works fine.

Based on bug #11822 and this one, I suggest we drop flex back to 2.5.4a. I
looked at the other distributions trying to find the odd patch. but they all
seem to be using 2.5.4a.

Does this sound good?

Its in the unstable profile, and works good with most things, but if you want to
mask it in package.mask .. fine by me.
