Any application using media-libs/sdl-mixer will create a temp file named "music.raw" directly in the working directory (~ when run from the menus) instead of somewhere inside /tmp. A quick Google search turned up a post to FreeBSD's FreshPorts site which suggests it's a problem related to libmikmod but none of my other mikmod-dependant packages show similar behavior so I assume that they are compensating for any such problem. Furthermore, the music.raw file usually remains empty (apparently, because it's only needed when a game relies on MikMod to decode it's music but it gets created regardless of whether it's needed) and since it's not a dotfile, it proves to be very distracting to me. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install a game that uses SDL-mixer 2. Run it 3. Note the music.raw file which appears in your home dir Actual Results: ~/music.raw gets created. (and usually left empty) Expected Results: No new non-dotfiles should appear in my home dir, especially temp files.
