Description Felix Schmitt 2005-12-01 01:05:16 UTC
Hi all,

I have a laptop with low memory (but good cpu power). In order to get a good
speed/space tradeoff, I would like to compile, e.g., the base system including
X with "-O2" and everything involving kde with "-Os". Instead of manually
doing an "emerge --oneshot" with the appropriate CFLAGS, it would be nice to
have a config file that takes these individual CFLAGS as to override the ones
out of /etc/make.conf. If built like the mask/unmask infrastructure, this
infrastructure would also come in handy for hard-to-compile packages that need
special "encouragement"...

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

2.
