Why? app-portage/g-cpan does not work? Something depends on it?
What Jakub is getting at is there are guidelines in the gentoo policy documentation regarding requests for perl module ebuilds.
Apologies. I had already installed it via cpan but I was under the impression that this wasn't the way to do things, assuming cpan installed modules wouldn't get updated automatically via portage.
Just a small question... why are there still numerous perl modules in portage if this tool exists? Are they pending deletion, or are they considered more fundamental?
