Description Thomas Ilnseher 2005-11-27 08:20:27 UTC
The network driver uli526x can be downloaded in it's source form from
www.uli.com.tw, and is already included in the 2.6.14 kernels.

it would be really nice if you add them to the current install medias, either by
upgrading to 2.6.14, or by compiling a module for 2.6.12-gentoo-r10

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. boot from cd
2. ping www.google.com
3.

Actual Results:
ping failed

Expected Results:
it should ping www.google.com

while the tulip driver was loaded, dhcpcd _WAS_ able to get an ip adress from
the dhcp server, along with the domain name and the ip adress of the dns server.

after dhcpcd was started a "route" printed usefull information.
when i then ran ping www.google.de, the ping failed,
and after that, route hang.

We won't be releasing another InstallCD set until the official 2006.0 release.

Now that 2006.0 is out, this can be resolved.
