Description Mike Kaufman 2005-10-21 20:33:16 UTC
media-sound/xmms-1.2.10-r15
tried with cdaudio, mp3, ogg, and mp3 streams.

I also compiled without USE=mmx, sse, sse2, CFLAGS=-march=pentium4, -O3, -pipe
to see if that could be the reason... it wasn't.

I usually use OSS output driver. ALSA output driver changes nothing.

NOTE: I downloaded the vanilla sources 1.2.10 from xmms.org and compiled in
$HOME. This executable works just fine!

I'm having a hard time not applying the gentoo specific patches in the ebuild,
so I can't tell if it's a gentoo patch that's causing the problem...

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. add several tracks to playlist (can be mp3, mp3 stream, cdrom, ogg)
2. press play
3. wait

Actual Results:
4. after a short amout of time (sometimes very short) the track will stop and
move to the next track.
4a. mp3 streams will get stuck doing a buffer fill (or perhaps an unknown host?)

Expected Results:
play to end of track.

Comment 1 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-10-23 00:40:35 UTC
xmms and all plugins are now package.masked and will be removed from the tree in one month.

WONTFIX.
