Description FieldySnuts 2005-10-12 13:43:15 UTC
I am using x11-base/xorg-server-0.99.1-r9. I am merging nx-x11-1.4.0-r4, and it
is looking for xmkmf, which is not found.

Digging around with esearch did not yield where this binary might be, which is
found in a standard xorg-x11 install. So as far as I can tell, this is not
provided by xorg-server, or at the least, it is not easily locateable.

Portage 2.0.52-r1 (default-linux/x86/2005.0, gcc-3.4.4, glibc-2.3.5-r1,

I wasn't sure if I should file this extra bit of info in a separate bug or not,
please tell me to do so if I should...

I rather lamely copied over the xmkmf binary from another gentoo system, to
where this one was expecting it. That made nx-x11 happy. Which then failed
again, because it couldn't find imake.

So imake isn't provided either, or at least is not easy to find in another ebuild.
