Please remove bin/dojar from future portage versions It shouldn't be used anymore It has been replaced a long time ago by the java-pkg_dojar function in the java-pkg.eclass
Used this command to find out packages still using dojar: betelgeuse@pena /usr/portage $ grep -e "\bdojar\b" -r . Besided Changelogs and comments I found this. ./sci-libs/vtk/vtk-4.2.6.ebuild: use java && dojar ${S}/bin/vtk.jar CCing people responsible to fix their package.
i fixed it before i made this bug and a better grep is '[^_]dojar'
I haven't found any mention of "dojar" in our docs. Why is GDP on CC?
I grepped the tree and found only two ebuilds using dojar: net-im/mercury sci-libs/libsvm
I can make the necessary changes to the remaining packages, if the maintainers don't have an objection.
(In reply to comment #5) > I can make the necessary changes to the remaining packages, if the maintainers > don't have an objection. > Please, do; I'd like to have dojar removed for the 2.1 release if thats possible, this bug has been open for 6 months.
I just fixed the last two packages, so we should be good to remove dojar.
I've removed dojar in svn r4081.
As of 2.1.1_pre4-r2, dojar is no longer included. I've also removed the dojar section from ebuild.5 in svn r4090 (that will be released in 2.1.1_pre4-r3).
