3.1.1 is out, and hopefully has a number of critical bug fixes. In particular, the EPIC Perl debugger plugin doesn't work under 3.1.0, but should be fixed under 3.1.1. There are also some issues with gtk+ that are supposed to be fixed ... see: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103477 I would hack up an ebuild myself and dump it in /usr/local/portage, but I wasn't as successful as I'd hoped. Sorry. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:

Created attachment 72031 [details] Ebuild for eclipse-sdk-3.1.1
# emerge dev-util/eclipse-sdk Calculating dependencies ...done! >>> emerge (1 of 1) dev-util/eclipse-sdk-3.1.1 to / !!! Security Violation: A file exists that is not in the manifest. !!! File: files/eclipse-3.1.desktop
And after deleting it: # emerge dev-util/eclipse-sdk Calculating dependencies ...done! >>> emerge (1 of 1) dev-util/eclipse-sdk-3.1.1 to / !!! Security Violation: A file exists that is not in the manifest. !!! File: files/eclipse.1
I deleted those files (I should have added them to the Manifest, well, who cares ...), and apart from the missing .desktop file, it seems to work. Especially, it does not crash after a few clicks, see #103477 ...

Hi :) I just wanted to say that the ebuild worked fine for me :) I'm looking forward to seeing it in portage ;)
Works fine for me as well.
