Hi, as some packages having a 'post-emerge-config', wouldn't it useful to have  
an  'emerge --config (-c) package' command?  
This would made that   
  
ebuild usr/portage/[group search]/pkg/pkg[version search] config  
  
sequence much easier.  
  
Really nice would be, if emerge could find out if a package needs or has  
already be configured.  
  
Than someone could use emerge --config world or something similiar to 
configure all packages that are needing interactive configuration.
