Description Dave Nebinger 2005-09-28 22:20:36 UTC
Please find attached fpdf-153.ebuild.

fpdf is yet another PHP class to generate PDF files.

This is another package that is used by the latest XAMPP distribution that I am
working on creating an ebuild for.

Sorry about the name, it's really the origination site's version number.

I suggest dev-php/fpdf because it is not php-version dependent.

Other than php, this package has no dependencies.

Note that the source package download link from the hosting site is different
from most others in that the link itself is pointing back to a servlet and does
not include a real name in the URL. For that reason it currently has the fetch
restriction set. I've got a question posted to gentoo-dev to see if portage
would be able to handle such a link, but until I find out for sure it's going
to have to be this way...
Comment 2 Dave Nebinger 2005-09-28 22:58:05 UTC
According to the reply from gentoo-dev, I'm supposed to note that the upstream
URL is broken and the package should be copied to the gentoo mirrors; after that
the SRC_URI should be updated and the nomirror and fetch restrictions should be
removed.

Suggestion for filename storage on the mirror: fpdf153.tgz, as this would take
the least amount of changes to the supplied ebuild.
Comment 3 Tudor Vaida 2006-11-29 13:07:14 UTC
I propose a smaller, adapted ebuild, which uses php-lib-r1. Please find it attached as fpdf-1.53.ebuild.

src_unpack rights seem to be in order (files are not unpacked into workdir with 777 rights), so I've removed the function. Using ebuild install functions takes care of the permissions of installed files.

(this is an automated message based on filtering criteria that matched this bug)
'EBUILD' is in the KEYWORDS which should mean that there is a ebuild attached
to this bug.
This bug is assigned to maintainer-wanted which means that it is not in the
main tree.

Hello, The Gentoo Team would like to firstly thank you for your ebuild
submission. We also apologize for not being able to accommodate you in a timely
manner. There are simply too many new packages.

Allow me to use this opportunity to introduce you to Gentoo Sunrise. The
sunrise overlay[1] is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to
commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry
into the overlay. So, the sunrise team is suggesting that you look into this
and submit your ebuild to the overlay where even *you* can commit to. =)

Because this is a mass message, we are also asking you to be patient with us.
We anticipate a large number of requests in a short time.

Thanks,
On behalf of the Gentoo Sunrise Team,
Jeremy.
