Description Pat Erley 2005-09-11 19:25:55 UTC
After an emerge sync and emerge -Du world, it tries to update python, which
fails saying I did not upgrade my profile correctly. I followed the bottom
steps on the page:
http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/base/amd64/howtos/index.xml?part=1&chap=1 for a
non multilib system. The link in the ebuild:
http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/base/amd64/2005.0-upgrade-amd64.xml does not exist.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Update to 2005.0 with:
# rm /etc/make.profile
# ln -s /usr/portage/profiles/default-linux/amd64/2005.0/no-multilib
/etc/make.profile
# emerge -upv system
# emerge -uv system
2. emerge sync
3. emerge -Du world

Actual Results:
bigiron PixPlz # emerge -Du world
Calculating system dependencies ...done!
>>> emerge (1 of 1) dev-lang/python-2.3.5-r2 to /
 * It appears you have switched to the 2005.0 profile without following
 * the upgrade guide. Please see the following URL for more information:
 * http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/base/amd64/2005.0-upgrade-amd64.xml

Expected Results:
emerged package
