Description Simon Stelling (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-09-04 10:41:56 UTC
several panel-applets don't work anymore in gnome 2.12:

Show Desktop
Sticky Notes
Window List
Window Selector
Workspace Switcher

Volume Control seems to work sometimes and sometimes it's not able to add it

all the other standard applets plus gxmms work though. note that this is after a
reboot, and i'm not the only one having this issue, so it's probably not related
to my setup

the error messages are all of type 'The panel encountered a problem while
loading "OAFIID:GNOME_ShowDesktopApplet".'

have you restarted the session and done a revdep-rebuild ?
Comment 2 Simon Stelling (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-09-05 04:05:20 UTC
yes, i followed the instructions in your devspace
Comment 3 Simon Stelling (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-09-05 09:47:10 UTC
looks like upgrading gtk+ to 2.8.3-r1 solved this issue too...
b33fc0d3, can you confirm that?
Comment 4 Simon Stelling (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-09-05 12:18:02 UTC
confirmed, therefore closing
