Description TGL 2005-09-02 02:48:32 UTC
Newest "sys-apps/man-pages" has some ("linguas_xx" flag) optionnal PDEPENDs on
localized "app-i18n/man-pages-xx" packages. The problem i see with it is that
some users don't want localized manpages, and flags coming from USE_EXPAND vars
like linguas_* are not configurables on a per-package basis (package.use won't
work, and per-package LINGUAS doesn't exist). So basically, a user who usually
have LINGUAS="xx" can't avoid installation of this localized pages without
adding it them to package.provided. And there are such users (i'm one, and a
topic about that issue has been open on the french forum by another).

I suggest adding the "nls" flag to this PDEPEND. This way, users who don't want
localized manpages will be able to add "sys-apps/man-pages -nls" to their
package.use.

Patch for man-pages-2.07.ebuild follows.
