Description Daniel Franke 2005-08-30 14:33:54 UTC
Xinerama setup, two screens, KDE-3.4.2: I found that any opengl widget
(glxgear [xorg], qt opengl examples [qt], opengl screen savers [kde]) is
displayed on primary screen (left) only. If moved to the secondary screen
(right), any opengl-widget "vanishes" and reappears only if moved back to the
right screen.

Please find a more detailed description at:
http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-2688188.html#2688188

appropiate - thanks.

bugs.kde.org is the right place for this. you're not using the nvidia drivers
are you?
Comment 2 Daniel Franke 2005-08-31 00:45:51 UTC
nope, got a Matrox G550.
Comment 3 Daniel Franke 2005-08-31 23:32:06 UTC
A completely different setup works:
SuSE 8.x, KDE-3.4.0 (compiled from sources), Qt-3.3.4, XFree-4.3.0 xinerama
enabled, Matrox G550
-> glxgears works fine on both screens

Reassigning as suggested in http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=111805

Please give 6.8.99.15 a test so we have a clue whether it's been fixed in the
past few months.

You can save a backup of your current xorg install first using `quickpkg xorg-x11`.
Comment 6 Donnie Berkholz (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-03-31 19:06:25 UTC
This is an upstream Mesa bug. If it's still an issue with modular X (7.0), please file a bug at bugs.freedesktop.org in the Mesa product and post the URL here.

Found another discussion at the matrox forum: http://forum.matrox.com/mga/viewtopic.php?t=20106

Summary: maybe a problem with mga drivers (binary distribution).
