Comment 1 Hiel Van Campen 2005-08-27 14:29:24 UTC
Sorry I was trying to copy a CL view of what it looks like and it subbmited the
report. The operation is fine but in following directories and doing things like
"F3" a bunch of artifacts, alp[ha numeric, are strung all over a the screen and
it becomes quit confusing. This has actually been the case since January or
Febuary.
I have rebuilt it useing -X and it still looks like crap :(

Does Bug 98804 describe your problem? Otherwise, you can use media-gfx/fbgrab to
make a screenshot from console.
Comment 3 Hiel Van Campen 2005-08-27 21:23:57 UTC
Ok this is the same prob as his. But its an ncurces problem. I just did a kernel
config on CL and it has the same problem. I'll try the fraame grab.
Comment 4 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-08-28 01:12:39 UTC
Please, also post your locale settings and consolefont settings. It works fine
here (mc-4.6.0-r14, ncurses-5.4-r6).

Reopened when ready.
Comment 6 Hiel Van Campen 2005-11-04 20:23:04 UTC
This was actually a ncurses problem when unicode was selected in /etc/rc.conf.
media-gfx/fbgrab woulnt work at my screen bit depth. It needed 24 or 32 and
myconsul was 16 bit ;)
In short close this sucker
