For the past six weeks, firefox has been crashing on my system (not on my other Gentoo systems) at seemingly random times. Upon further investigation it seems to be isolated to the following events: -Loading a page with a video stream on it (handled my mplayerplug-in) -Loading a page with a real stream -Loading a m3u file. This is passed properly to xmms, but then firefox crashes Note that these are not definately reproduceable, as it takes many tries to get the program to crash. I've tried both the binary and compiled version. I've also tried with the debug flags compiled in, the output of which I've made available (last 200 lines of stderr and stdout. Full logs, all 140megs of them, available upon request) Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1.Just browse the types of pages listed above. It will eventually happen 2. 3. Actual Results: it crashed Expected Results: It shouldn't have crashed stderr available here: http://bkreulen.servebeer.com:8080/log_tail.err stdout available here: http://bkreulen.servebeer.com:8080/log_tail.out emerge info: Portage 2.0.51.19 (default-linux/x86/2005.0, gcc-3.3.5-20050130, glibc-2.3.4.20041102-r1, 2.6.11-gentoo-r11 i686) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.11-gentoo-r11 i686 Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz Gentoo Base System version 1.4.16 Python: dev-lang/python-2.3.4-r1 [2.3.4 (#1, Mar 11 2005, 17:34:27)] dev-lang/python: 2.3.4-r1 sys-apps/sandbox: [Not Present] sys-devel/autoconf: 2.59-r6, 2.13 sys-devel/automake: 1.7.9-r1, 1.8.5-r3, 1.5, 1.4_p6, 1.9.5, 1.6.3 sys-devel/binutils: 2.15.92.0.2-r7 sys-devel/libtool: 1.5.16 virtual/os-headers: 2.6.8.1-r2 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CFLAGS="-march=pentium4 -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3.3/env /usr/kde/3.3/share/config /usr/kde/3.3/shutdown /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/lib/X11/xkb /usr/lib/mozilla/defaults/pref /usr/share/config /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-O2 -march=pentium4 -fomit-frame-pointer" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoaddcvs autoconfig ccache distlocks sandbox sfperms strict" GENTOO_MIRRORS="ftp://mirror.switch.ch/mirror/gentoo/ http://ftp-stud.fht-esslingen.de/pub/Mirrors/gentoo/" LINGUAS="fr" MAKEOPTS="-j2" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/usr/local/portage" SYNC="rsync://rsync.europe.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="x86 X alsa apache2 apm arts avi berkdb bitmap-fonts cdparanoia cdr crypt cups curl dvd eds emboss encode esd faad2 fam foomaticdb fortran gdbm gif gpm gstreamer gtk2 hal imagemagick imlib ipv6 java jpeg junit kde ldap libg++ libwww mikmod motif mozilla mp3 mpeg mysql ncurses nls ogg oggvorbis opengl oss pam pdflib perl png postgres python qt quicktime readline real samba sdl spell ssl svga tcpd tiff truetypetruetype-fonts type1-fonts usb xml2 xmms xv zlib linguas_fr userland_GNU kernel_linux elibc_glibc" Unset: ASFLAGS, CBUILD, CTARGET, LANG, LC_ALL, LDFLAGS
