Running ufed gives:

TermReadKey is installed:

Description: Change terminal modes, and perform non-blocking reads
      License: Artistic

It seems the problem arose after doing:

  emerge -Nkbvu --deep world

This upgraded (among other things) Perl.

The workaround is to just emerge dev-perl/TermReadKey again.

However, if upgrading Perl breaks already installed perl-packages, then the
perl-upgrade should probably be fixed to avoid this.

Reproducible: Always

You failed to run perl-cleaner as instructed by the perl ebuild.
Comment 2 Ole Tange 2005-08-07 15:30:57 UTC
As perl was upgraded during a '-Nkbvu --deep world' I have no chance to see
this should be done. What is the reason for not doing it automatically as part
of upgrading perl?

The reason is that you cannot launch emerge from inside of emerge process.
Otherwise, see Bug 11359.
