CImg is a C++ image processing library. See the webpage: http://cimg.sourceforge.net Is is used by digikamimageplugins; it should be a dependency for at least media-plugins/digikamimageplugins-0.7.3, by the way. Since it's a library, I assume media-libs is the most correct place to put it, but feel free to correct...
Created attachment 64202 [details] Ebuild for CImg 1.0.9 The file on sourceforge is named as bad and non-standard as it gets (CImg-1-09.zip), so the resulting ebuild looks a bit clumsy. The whole implementation of the library is CImg.h, that IMHO looks terrible (again, if it works don't complain). The ebuild worked fine on amd64, and recompiling media-libs/digikamimageplugins afterwards activated some plugins that depend on CImg.
> Is is used by digikamimageplugins; it should be a dependency for at least media-plugins/digikamimageplugins-0.7.3, by the way. Is this the only reason you want it packaged? CImg is just a header file and digikamimageplugins includes it.
Whoops, that's right. Somehow I thought different. Well, I must have overlooked the CImg plugins before then, that's strange.
O.k. I think it's not worth adding it as a package. Applications will include it directly anyways.
Ok, closing bug.
