MLDonkey Mulus is a new MLDonkey branch which evolved out of MLDonkey 2.5.16. To avoid confusion between the two branches 2.5.16 and 2.5.30, the branch 2.5.16 which is maintained by knocker has been renamed.

After some time all mldonkey ebuilds with a version number less than 2.5.30 should be removed from net-p2p/mldonkey. Note: As in previous mldonkey-2.5.16 versions, the gtk use flag will probably not work. It is untested because I don't use it. This bug obsoletes bug #93894. Best regards Christian

The latest SVN commit for Mulus was Jan 4th, 2006: https://opensvn.csie.org/viewcvs.cgi?root=mlnet&view=rev The last visit from Knocker on the German support forum was Feb 4th, 2006: http://www.mldonkey.org/forum/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=66 I do not know what happened to him, but since then no development on Mulus took place. This should be considered before its put into portage.
Yesterday I switched back to mldonkey. In my opinion, mulus today has no advantage over mldonkey -- I used it because it did not need as much memory as mldonkey, but this problem seems to be gone. So, I'm closing this bug. If someone thinks this unmaintained package should go into portage nevertheless, please file another bug.
