Description Lars Strojny 2005-07-21 19:49:51 UTC
Due a not findable bug in the current rc-scripts, it is not longer possible to
activate a dm-crypted device vie the startup script when using gpg. If the
computer boots up, it stops its work without message on mapping the device. I'd
tried to debug the stuff but I can't find something out. Would be useful, if the
maintainers can give me a hint of what has changed since the last working
release. I'm the author of the patch adding the functionallity, so I'm firm
with the code but I can't find the problem.

if baselayout-1.11.13 worked for you then nothing should have changed
Comment 2 Martin Schlemmer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-07-26 03:35:43 UTC
What package is the script/whatever from? baselayout do not provide a dmcrypt
script, so please specify how you are doing that, and how it relates to
baselayout? If you mean cryptsetup stuff .. that was moved out, and should be
reassigned to its maintainers.

it's part of sys-fs/cryptsetup

afaik nothing has changed ... please test latest 1.11.x and make sure it works
