You should have mozilla-firefox, not mozilla-firefox-bin if you want to compile other programs against its widget. Didn't "emerge yelp" pull that as a dependency in your system? Yes it does depend on mozilla / mozilla-firefox correctly. However, due to previous trouble with ebuilds that required mozilla or firefox and did not check for the -bin version, I have added mozilla and mozilla-firefox to /etc/portage/profile/package.provided. That's why I did not notice anything. I filed a bug report because I could not find anything on the forum or bugzilla about this error. Is there some way to add a notice to the ebuild warning users that get such a message that yelp will not compile against a mozilla or firefox -bin? |
