I forgot to mention that my WM is xfce4 and I only installed kmail, knode, ktuberling, kpat, ksokoban, kdeprint, kuickshow, kfax and all the (automatic) dependencies. Can you run "strace -olog -eaccess ktuberling" and attach the resulting "log" file? Created attachment 64373 [details]

here we go
Thanks. The only thing I can suggest is to try to move away the configuration file: .kde3.3/share/config/ktuberlingrc, maybe it's there from a previous version? I don't have any other ideas... Indeed the config file was from a previous version. Moving it away did the trick. Maybe it's worth to put a small einfo() at the end about old configs that might crash the game. Thank you! This can be considered a (small) ktuberling bug. There are many other KDE programs having this problem and only a few unlucky people get caught by them. So we cannot really do much, putting einfos in all these ebuilds is probably not worthy... |
