There is an ebuild for this in the Gentopia overlay. The problem is that gnome-power relies on dbus >= .30 and hal >= .5 which are not currently in portage. You can find one here: https://dev.cardoe.com/gentopia/file/overlay/gnome-extra/gnome-power/ there are its dependencies too. Created attachment 66559 [details]

gnome-extra/gnome-power-20050822
version that builds against my dbus version (cvs checkout)
btw, you need: bug #103345 libnotify bug #103347 PowerManager bug #103348 pmscripts Aren't this one and PowerManager the same package? These are in gentopia minus the pm-scripts. Gnome-Power and PowerManager are 2 different, but dependent (for now - Rich is moving away from PowerManager and going to just having hal/dbus dependencies with the next version of gnome-power- manager) We have these ebuilds in the Gentopia overlay. People who are interested in this should test the http://gentopia.gentooexperimental.org/ overlay. Thanks. Closing this UPSTREAM. |
