Reason for joining Gentoo:
I originally expressed interest in joining the project for maintainership
of app-admin/bacula in the app-backup herd which is/was unmaintained and
in jeopardy of being removed from portage.  I currently run bacula on four
machines on my LAN with backups written to an ADIC-1200G 12-tape DDS-3
library and bacula catalog services via mysql.  I am a member of #bacula
on freenode, am subscribed to bacula upstream mailing lists bacula-users,
bacula-devel, bacula-announce, and communicate with bacula developers on
a fairly regular basis.

Additionally I am interested in joining the following projects:

gentoo-sparc - I would like to join the sparc team once I get a sparc64
kit and a bit more experience with sparc hardware.

app-office - With more time and a better understanding of groupware and
other office applications I would be interested in helping, but currently
my experience with these projects is limited.  Of particular note, I am
very interested in working with the opengroupware.org project once I have
more experience with office platforms.

LDAP - My interest in LDAP is small but I am beginning to migrate to and
work with highly centralized authentication and in time I may also wish
to contribute to LDAP development and support in the gentoo project.
