Are still able to move your mousepointer when the freeze occurs and have a line starting with NVRM: Xid: in the systemlog? Can you ssh to the box and see x consume all processor? dead means dead, and when kernel doesn't react on Alt-SysRq means in almost all cases that it has no time to write something in log. now testing 2.6.12-gentoo-r4 preempt UP, but with additionaly MSI turned off btw my hardware is PCI-E GF6600 on EpoX 9NPAJ same issue with 2.6.12-gentoo-r4 it seems ok with 2.6.12-gentoo-r9 and NVIDIA Kernel Module 1.0-7676 (In reply to comment #4) > it seems ok with 2.6.12-gentoo-r9 and NVIDIA Kernel Module 1.0-7676 It doens't seem to be ok for me :((((( Exactly the same behavior like max loparyev said. If you still have issues w/ current x11-drivers/{nvidia-drivers,nvidia-legacy-drivers} and uptodate kernels, file a new bug. Thanks. |
