I've just heard a report (verified by the valgrind home page) that valgrind 3.0_preWhatever in their SVN repo has functional support for amd64.  Anybody feel up to making a snapshot ebuild?  (Well, two ebuilds, actually, since valgrind has split into "vex" and "valgrind".)

I would not like to maintain snapshot ebuilds for valgrind 3.0.
Please wait for an official release.

I've attached an ebuild to do this.

Copy the SVN Checkout script file to /usr/portage/distfiles
Untar the Valgrind SVN Ebuild file  to your portage overlay/dev-util/.

valgrind 3.0 is now in the tree, although not marked ~amd64 yet.
