vizigo-1.08.ebuild
Here's a slightly cleaned up ebuild.
It looks to me like there is a copy of fltk included in the tarball. It would
be nice if the ebuild would use the system-installed fltk instead and dep on
x11-libs/fltk.
ViZiGO uses fltk 2, a very old version of it, with slight customizations. Fltk 2 has never been officially released, so even if Gentoo was including a beta of fltk 2 (it rightly provides fltk 1.1 only), it wouldn't work because the library has evolved a lot ever since. I do statically link against the fltk library I include in the archive, the resulting executable is around 400Kb, so I don't think it's really a problem. So, just considere the GUI toolkit in vizigo to be a custom library, just like in cgoban for example, which does also include its own GUI lib. Version 1.09 is now available, just rename the ebuild to vizigo-1.09.ebuild It fixes a problem when first logging in under a newly created IGS account with vizigo. (IGS is the go playing server that vizigo connect to) It no longer builds. |
