xsri-2.1.0.ebuild
GPL is not a valid licence the use of the rpm eclass is discouraged since it is possible to obtain source code for this product (it _is_ GPL-x) have you actually tested on amd64, x86, and ppc? do not set RDEPEND at all unless you are going to put something in it differing DEPEND entries should be on different lines, indented with tabs you can inherit multiple things on the same line (ex: "inherit eutils flag-o-matic") i'm sorry, but desktop-misc has too many packages already... if someone else wants to maintain it, then fine reassigning Created attachment 62246 [details]

sorry i'm new to writing ebuilds. i tried to fix the things you mentioned. I think redhat only distributes the source as .src.rpm. gentoo could repackage it, but why should this be neccessary? xsri does not have a project's page, nor did i found the source in other formats. (perhaps i simply did not search hard enough) Second: this is xsri from fc4 released on the mentioned plattforms, so i think it should work at least on them. finally i agree that gentoo developers are too heavy loaded with work ATM, so feel free to ignore this bug. ;-) yes, i do believe gentoo developers should repackage the file. we have plenty of space on the mirrors, and using rpms when we have portage is just stupid (imho) then again, i'm not going to be maintaining it, so it doesn't matter what i think :-) I'll add xsri. Added as x11-misc/xsri. Thanks. |
