*** Bug 97059 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** If the problem still exists, try uninstalling alsa-drivers and compile ALSA into kernel (genkernel --menuconfig all). Uhm I don't have this module with alsa 1.0.9, and I have no problem with 32-bit apps like skype nor with unreal tournament. Please make sure that you start with a clean module directory (no alsa modules built from kernel). I believe snd_ioctl32 was removed with 1.09... Mixed modules make bad jokes. Mixing modules is a bad idea, but, actually this is, I believe, alsa-driver installation bug. For me snd_ioctl32 module was left behind from the previous alsa-driver installation when I emerged alsa-driver-1.0.9b Moreover /etc/init.d/alsasound script form alsa-utils-1.0.9a does try to load snd_ioctl32 :) |
