VisualWorks 7.3.1 Base Image ebuild

Description Timothy Kilbourn 2005-06-20 19:29:14 UTC
Attached is an ebuild for Cincom Smalltalk VisualWorks 7.3.1 Non-commercial Base Parcels. The files must be obtained after registering at Cincom's website, http://smalltalk.cincom.com.

In order to use the ebuild, the VisualWorks Virtual Machine must be installed. However, as the Virtual Machine contains the executable and needs the Base parcels, I have declared the Virtual Machine to depend on the Base Parcels.

The Base Parcels ebuild should work on the platforms supported by Cincom VisualWorks: Linux x86, Mac OSX, Solaris, HPUX, AIX, SGI, Linux PPC, Linux Sparc, and Linux x86-64. However I only have access to x86.

VisualWorks 7.3.1 Base Image ebuild

Ebuild updated to not install the "backup" copy of the image that VisualWorks
provides in the installation.

Unfortunately I don't think the current license of the package would make it possible to put in the tree.
