Is there a particular reason why you are using alsa-driver instead of the in kernel version? Yes, during 2.6.11.*, alsa-driver provided more up-to-date code and I read (I forgot where) that stuff linked against a recent alsa-lib croaks on older (in-kernel) alsa-drivers. I actually had some trouble so I switched from in-kernel to extra-kernel somewhere around 2.6.11.2. I thought staying with that might not be a bad idea. While I might have fixed *my* troubles with a switch to in-kernel alsa, it was broken (at least I felt it was), so I reported it. Today, I gave 2.6.12.1 a shot and it worked like a charm. Due to the fact that there are no alsa-pertinent changes from 2.6.12 to 2.6.12.1, I guess *I* made an error when I tried to update to 2.6.12. Anyway, I think this bug can be closed as INVALID (which I'll do now, or at least try to). |
