Bug 96230 – gscanbus complains no raw1394

I emerged gscanbus in the hopes of helping debug a problem with an odd 1394
adapter card that uses a PCI-PCI bridge but doesn't work correctly. However when
I try to run gscanbus it complains:

ragonfly ~ # gscanbus
couldn't get handle: No such file or directory
This probably means that you don't have raw1394 support in the kernel or that
you haven't loaded the raw1394 module.

However I believe that I did load the raw1394 module:

I know in the past (2.4 kernels for isntance) that sometimes I've had to do some
mknod command by hand. Is that still a requirement somehow and I'm missed some
instruction, or is this a bug that could be fixed somehow?

Should work in 2.6.12.
