Thanks for trying this on amd64! When looking at "qpkg -l kchmviewer" I don't see any libs installed by the kchmviewer-ebuild. So it seems kchmviewer includes a static version of chmlib, so it would not conflict file-wise at least. It seems there is no option in kchmviewer to use an external chmlib during compilation, you might want to ask the maintainer of kchmviewer itself if this is possible so we can update the ebuild if possible. I am resolving this UPSTREAM, as I think Gentoo can not do much about this right now, you can REOPEN the bug if there is some switch that can be used to use an external chmlib. Also if you come up with a patch to compile kchmviewer on amd64, we would be interested to hear about it so we can make it work there also! |
