Description Brian Kreulen 2005-06-15 10:51:11 UTC
I listen to my music through an LAMP application called Netjuke which supports
streaming. When listening to a playlist with only streamed songs, XMMS can't go
to the next song. It finishes the current song and tries to load the next one
but gets stuck at the "pre-buffering 0%" stage. If I wait about 60 seconds, it
seems to wake up and continues playing.

If I tell it explicitly to go to the next song through the GUI interface, it
does so with no problems.

Using Windows + Winamp, I do not have this problem.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
Find a playlist with only http:// entries and play it using XMMS.

Assuming this is a problem with Netjuke/Apache, and not XMMS streaming in
general, I can give access to my Netjuke server for testing (last resort of course).

Comment 1 Luis Medinas (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-11-02 20:30:53 UTC
still have the same problem ? Did you tried with another versions ?
Comment 2 Brian Kreulen 2005-11-03 01:02:00 UTC
Yes, I've tried both versions that are in portage (1.2.10-r14 & r15) as well as
previous versions, when they were available. Same problem with all of them.
Comment 3 Luis Medinas (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-01-11 16:53:42 UTC
can you show me what plugins are you using ?
Comment 4 Chris Leppanen 2006-07-25 22:29:52 UTC
I had a similar problem and fixed it by disabling the MAD plugin in the prefrences.
Comment 5 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-10-23 00:39:07 UTC
xmms and all plugins are now package.masked and will be removed from the tree in one month.

WONTFIX.
