The link /usr/i686-pc-linux-gnu/bin/as 
-> /usr/i686-pc-linux-gnu/binutils-bin/2.16/as isn't updated with 
binutils-2.16.1is, correct is -> /usr/i686-pc-linux-gnu/binutils-bin/2.16.1/

Steps to Reproduce:
1  emerge sync && emerge binutils 
2. emerge something 
 
 
Actual Results:  
Error message from emerge/configure: "checking for C compiler default output 
file name... configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables 
See `config.log' for more details. 

Expected Results:  
gcc should compile
