I was wrong, the executables still exist, but links point to the 2.16 directory instead of 2.16.1 a perfekt shot in the heart of gentoo, congratulation ;-) First aid: binutils-config i686-pc-linux-gnu-2.16.1 Thanks for the quick help here. Though I agree that even in the unstable tree this shouldn't happen. Quick fix for me was just to symlink the directory. ln -s /usr/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/binutils-bin/2.16.1 /usr/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/binutils-bin/2.16 |
