Rigo, I'd like to thank for you your continued dedication to keeping this bug up2date all the way back from 2002 While I've not made use of these ebuilds local yet I have to say I'm impressed and happy to see this submission. Adding the gnue (suggested name for metabuild) will be a positive step forward in helping gentoo and it's developers move into enterprise markets. I'm probably not the best developer to maintain such ebuilds in the tree or I would assume the role but I support adding gnue to the tree and will show support for it. Kurt who is member of Gentoo's Board Of Trustees(BOT) is team member who I believe may have an interest in the value of gnue being added to the tree so I'm adding him the the CC: here. Kurt, If you would like to see gnue or think other members of the current BOT might have an interest please add your comments or them to the CC: here. If any dev would like to assume the role of _properly_ maintaining gnue or mentoring Rigo I'd be thankful. Haha, maintaining this ebuild is a little bit much wouldn't you say ? Mentoring isn't needed (remember, already building ebuilds in 2002 ;) ) but a little bit more time in a day would....Could you try to arrange that for me ? A 30 hour day would be nice, 32, the magic number.... Gonna update & correct thes builds in a while, but am busy with DEAF04 (http://www.deaf04.nl) right now.....You ought to check it out I think....I'm gonna give you extra QoS in the streams, OK ;p ? Ebuild + auxiliary files for gnue-common
I've changed this ebuild so that it is no longer dependent on dev-php/dcl.
There is nothing in the installation guide that says it is required. Perhaps
there should be an optional use flag?
I also renamed the package to lowercase, put the correct header tag in and
added the required SLOT variable.
The ebuild provided installed fine and once completed I could "import gnue" in
the python interpreter.
This is my first stab at working on an ebuild. I'd appreciate any kind of
feedback.
