Bug 95838 – gimp-remote without version number is missing

I have installed MaPiVi (http://mapivi.sourceforge.net/mapivi.shtml) and running
Gimp from mapivi doesn't work, because MaPiVi tries to run gimp-remote, but
the program is called gimp-remote-2.0

On a Linux from scratch system this problem didn't exist.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install MaPiVi
2. Mark some pictures
3. press ctrl+e

Actual Results:  
Cannot run gimp-remote...

Expected Results:  
GIMP startup

Sorry, we don´t support packages that are not in portage. You´ll have to solve
it yourself.

P.S. Symlink seems like an obvious workaround.

At least gimp-2.2.6-r1 creates the symlink:

$ ls -l /usr/bin/gimp-remote

$ equery belongs /usr/bin/gimp-remote

Why don't you add the symlink into the ebuild? And btw typing "gimp-2.0 picture.jpg" instead of "gimp picture.jpg" sucks :)

As you can see in comment #3 - gimp-2.2.6-r1 has the symlink.
